Whats up class...my name is Jimmy Hunt and I'm in my 5th year at ASU. I've just switched my major from Business Mang. and Marketing to IDS with a minor in Business.
My focus is titled Entertainment Promotion and Production. I'm very fortunate because this appeals to my business outside of school, so the two passions fuse very well. I hope to gain a better understanding of people, in terms of managing a staff, but more importantly to gain a better understanding of how people work. In addition, my other IDS classes, specifically Marx's Capitalism, is helping me gain more knowledge of the origin of economic structure. I feel IDS will help me draw on several different aspects of academia to create my own idea of what I'm learning.
Outside of school, my work consists of organizing, promoting, and producing Music on the Mountain, which was August 23rd. We had a huge turnout; over 2,500!!! To date, this is one of Boone's largest music events in history and the largest in over 5 years.
